Expected CTC range
₹10,35,000 – ₹11,70,000
Midpoint: ₹11,02,500
How it's calculated
Current CTC₹9,00,000
At 15% hike₹10,35,000
At 30% hike₹11,70,000
Monthly CTC at lower end₹86,250
Monthly CTC at upper end₹97,500
- This only applies the hike range you choose. It is not a market salary benchmark.
Formula
- Expected CTC = current CTC × (1 + hike ÷ 100), at each end of your range
This turns the hike range you choose into the expected CTC figures to quote. It does not tell you what the market pays: research the role and company, then set your range.
Before accepting, check the in-hand pay of the offer: a higher CTC with more variable pay can mean less monthly cash.
Worked example
₹14 lakh current CTC, a 20% to 35% hike range.
- Expected CTC range
- ₹16,80,000 – ₹18,90,000
- At 20% hike
- ₹16,80,000
- At 35% hike
- ₹18,90,000
Frequently asked questions
Should I quote a range or a single number?
Many candidates quote a range whose lower end they would still accept. Base it on research for the role, not only your current salary.
Should expected salary be in CTC or fixed pay?
Say which one you mean. Recruiters usually ask for CTC; clarify how much of an offer is fixed.
